Bengaluru which is also known as Bangalore is the capital of the state of Karnataka, southern India. In 2006 the city changed its name officially to Bengaluru. Even though the old name was still used widely. It is the largest city in Karnataka. This city is populated by more than 11 million people which makes it Indian 3rd most popular city of India and also the fifth (15th) most populous urban economy in India. An amazing thing about this city is that the weather in the city is pleasant all year.

The city was built in 1537 by a local chief, Kempe Gowda. Once it was the headquarters of the British administration from 1831 to 1881. Until Indian independence in 1947, Britain retained an administrative and military presence in the city. Bangalore afterward became the capital of Mysore in 1956 and finally, Mysore has renamed Karnataka in 1973. The state invested heavily in the public sector from the 1950s and employment opportunities were created for tens and so many like it. This way Bangalore becomes the largest city in the country.

How to reach

By Air: The city of Bengaluru can be reached by air. The nearest airport to the city is Bengaluru (BLR) Airport which is 28 km away from Bengaluru city. You can get a taxi or other private vehicles to reach the airport from the city.

By Train: The city can also be reached by train. If you really want a comfortable and peaceful journey you can choose the train. The nearby station from Bengaluru is called Bengaluru Railway Station which is just 4.3 km away from the city. It is one of the biggest stations in this city.

By Bus: Travelers can also reach Bengaluru by road. It is connected to the other major cities of India. The roads of this city are well constructed. Too many bus services are available to reach there.
