How to reach

By Road: It is well-connected with many other major cities of India. You can reach there by bus as there are an ample number of buses that connect Imphal with neighboring cities in the northeast like Dimapur, Aizawl, Agartala, Shillong, and Itanagar. There are plenty of state-run buses from these cities and several private buses also run between these cities and the rest of the northeast.
By Train: Imphal does not have any railway station. The nearest railway station is Dimapur railway station, which is 215 km from Imphal. If you want to reach by train, first you have to reach Dimapur by train and it’ll be very annoying.

By Air: Imphal has its own international airport. Bir Tikendrajit International Airport is an airport, which is 8 km from the city. The airport is well-connected to northeastern cities like Guwahati, Aizawl, and Agartala, as well as other cities in India like Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata. The airport does not have flights to international destinations but connecting flights to destinations in South East Asia are in the works.
