In the Indian state, Kalimpong is a town as well as a town council of West Bengal. Its educational institutions make it renowned. Before China’s Affiliation of Tibet and the Sino-Indian war, it was the gateway to commerce between Tibet and India. The town council is located on a ridge overlooking the Teesta river. It is a tourist destination because of its temperate climate.
By Air: Bagdogra in Siliguri is the nearest airport to Kalimpong. This airport is well-connected to Kolkata
and some other major cities. In case of International traveler, they can get connected with kalimpong by Kolkata or delhi. Both the cities are well connected with India and abroad.
By Train: New Jalpaiguri is the nearest rail which is well linked with most of the major cities of India.
By Road: Bus services are available in the city Kalimpong which is linked to other cities in Sikkim and the neighboring states.
