Nainital is a beautiful charming Himalayan lake town. It’s a perfect hill station in Uttrakhand and one of the most popular in Northern India. This town is known as the Lake District and its nestled high up in the Kumaon Himalayas at an altitude of around 2000 m above sea level. During the British era, this town has a strong colonial heritage with vibrant clusters of villas and bungalows and homesick Britishers used to flock to this quaint town spread over a forested valley. Associated with Nainital many renowned personalities are either born here. Jim Corbett, a conservationist, the author was born in this town and was educated here also.
