    It was a natural lake, which is situated in the Badkhal village near Faridabad, Haryana. It is about 32 kilometers away from Delhi. It was a man-made embankment. This place is a tourist spot. It is about two decades back, this lake began drying up and now this is totally dried up.     After that Construction boom in the National Capital Region, it drove quarrying and mining in the area at a large scale. As illegal mining and quarrying mushroomed, the downward water flow to the lake was not just obstructed.AlsoAquifers were damaged

    Besides, rampant borewells and deforestation and digging in the area. This is owing to urbanization worsening the situation, leaving the lake high and dry. A Good number of mineral water companies have also illegally sourced water from the lake.

    Since 2009, this lake turned completely dried up.

    In that 2010, January, the lake and the nearby Surajkund were filled up with water in conjunction with

    The Commonwealth games. In march 2014, a survey report says that by the Gardens Society, Delhi Parks
