    The government of the state finally realized the importance of the region in the protection of the species and its mythological associations. And created this beautiful park on 15 February 1986. Now, this park has a myriad of species of fauna and flor

    This park is home to many rare and extinct species. You can see the Red Panda here which has a small population. There you can also find the Indian Bison, Lesser Panda, and the Stag like Serow. It houses a variety of rare medicinal herbs. Those are known as ‘dikes’ locally. One can also see Wild water buffalo and the rare Golden Cat here. 8 species of cats can be found here including the leopard, tiger, and marbled cat. It is also a shelter for Asian elephants, rare stump-tailed macaques, Wild boars, Samber, Pig-tailed macaques, and barking deer.
