    Situated in the holy city of Pushkar under the state of Rajasthan, India Brahma temple is a Hindu religious site. This temple is dedicated to Lord Brahma. This also features the worship of Gayatri Devi, and the worship is supervised by ascetic saints. 

    This temple has excellent architecture, including a remarkable pinnacle in red and a bird which is a symbol of ancient mythology and womanhood. According to legends, it is said that Lord Brahma subsided a demon that tormented hapless mortals. 

    This lake is situated near the famous Pushkar lake, which is a holy lake. Every year a bunch of people comes to visit this place. There are many other temples near the Brahma temple.

    There are many historical and famous temples situated in the city of Pushkar. Brahma temple is one of them. Thus the ancient temple was destroyed in the Mughal era by the Muslim rulers. However, it was ru-built later. 

    The present structure of this temple goes back to the 14th century while the actual temple was believed to be built 2000 years back. It has gone through many renovations. This temple was majorly rebuilt by Hindu philosopher Adi Shankara in the 8th century and later by Maharaja Jawat Rai.

    The marvelous Brahma temple is an excellent example of the Rajasthani style of architecture. It is an attractive tourist destination in the state. Situated on a high plinth the temple has many stairs to reach here. These stairs will take you to the entrance gate of the temple decorated with pillared canopies. 

    This gate leads to the outdoor Mandapa (hall) and then the Sanctum Sanctorum where the idol of Lord Brahma is situated. The idol is fitted with four faces, and four hands that hold- a lotus, Khus,  grass, and Kamandulu and books in each hand. The Idol of Lord Brahma was defined by Adi Shankara in 718 AD in garbhagriha.

    By train: The nearest railway station to Brahma temple is the Ajmer railway junction. It is situated at a distance of 15 km from the place. This rail station is well connected with the other cities of Rajasthan as well as India. You will easily find local transport at the station. By hiring them you can reach your destination.

    By Road: You can find local transport at the airport that can take you to the lake.

    Carry your essential things in a small bag. Do not smoke in the temple area. Take your shoes off before entering the temple. Do not bring your camera.
