    The Ganesh Tok Temple is a tiny temple. Flags of various colors are tied across the stairwell to make it stand out. Before entering the temple, there is a location where shoes can be stored and hands can be cleansed. In front of the temple, which is the major feature of the area, there is also a lounge and a balcony. Ganesh Tok is enclosed  by beautiful mountains, hills, and landscape. It is so congested that devotees are forced to worship Lord Ganesha on all fours.

    Ganesh Tok which is about 7 kilometers away from Gangtok. It is a temple devoted to Lord Ganesha. Shri Appa B Pant, a prominent Sikkim Political Official, built the temple from 1952 to 1953.

    The upper levels of Ganesh Tok, where the observation area is located, are reached through a stairway. You’ll be asked to remove your shoes halfway up the stairwell. To access Lord Ganpati, worshipers must crawl on all fours through the temple’s inner sanctum. To provide better views, there is a viewing lounge with glass panels and a balcony. Snow-capped mountains, including Kanchenjunga, and rolling hills may be seen from the balcony.

    How to Reach

    By Air: For those asking how to go to Sikkim by air, there is no airport in the state, so you’ll have to fly to Bagdogra airport, West Bengal. This airport is approximately 124 kilometers from Gangtok and takes around 5 hours to get by bus or taxi from Bagdogra. If travelers wish to travel in style, a helicopter service is available from Bagdogra to Gangtok, which takes around 30 minutes. The Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation operates a helicopter service from Bagdogra to Gangtok at 2 p.m. These services should be reserved in advance since they might fill up quickly and the prices may rise.

    By Rail: If visitors planning a trip to Sikkim and want to know how to get to Sikkim by train, one’ll need to go to the New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri rail stations. Sikkim does not have its own station; hence these are the two closest West Bengal train stations. These stations are well linked, so one can simply obtain cabs or taxis to Sikkim from them. The journey from these stations to this Himalayan country takes roughly 5 hours. On weekdays, you may purchase rail tickets at the Sikkim Nationalized Transport office.

    By Road: Consult the following information to learn how to go to Sikkim via road. From the adjacent states, Siliguri and Darjeeling, both in West Bengal, one may take a taxi or a cab.
