    Quite close to Hussain Sagar Lake, located near the Lower Tank Bund road, Indira Park lies in the heart of the city. It has been named after the former Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the park is spread over an area of 76 acres. Being considered one of the oldest parks of Hyderabad, it is a popular tourist attraction in Hyderabad. The popularity of  Indira park is quite impressive. If you want to spend a few moments with nature, it would really be an ideal place, away from the chaos and pollution.

    At the park, there are also facilities for boating here, and there is a pond where facilities for fishing are also available. Another reason which draws visitors from every corner of the city is skating at Indira park. On the sides of the park, there is a jogging track for early-morning visitors. Starting their day with the refreshing surroundings of the area, many people can be seen taking long walks along the path. Spotting various species of avian fauna, birdwatchers can spend time. Along with flora, Indira Park has a rich fauna. Across the park, there are also mango trees, date palms, blackberry trees, and kevuda plantations, sandalwood trees.

    By the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, this park is now maintained and managed. To the park, various other sections such as musical dancing fountains and waterfalls were added, further enhancing its appearance, in the year 1994. A few more features were added to it again during the years 2000-2002 when the Indira Park Hyderabad was renovated. Inside Indira Park, you can find an expensive tennis court, now. Another attraction of the park is the living rock sanctuary which showcases many amazing rock sculptures. Increasing its beauty by many folds, new varieties of roses have also been added to its breathtaking rose garden.

A musical fountain show and boating at Hussain Sagar will keep you entertained in the evenings. Along with a mini toy train, there is a separate play area for children.

    BY AIR: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad is the closest airport situated in Hyderabad. From the airport, you can hire a cab or taxi to the palace.

    BY TRAIN: Like Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, Hyderabad is well connected with all major cities of India, being the headquarter of South Central Railway. At Nampally and Kachiguda there are also railway stations. At Secunderabad railway station, trains leaving from these two stations can also be boarded.

    BY ROAD: From the bus stand, regular services of state roadways and privately owned buses of the city are available. With important cities and states, roads are also well connected. To reach your desired destination, you can also hire rented cars or taxis
