An ecological park in Mokokchung, Nagaland is the Jungli Liden Eco-park which provides its visitors with fresh and clean air and makes our day pleasant. On the hilltop, it is a natural park in which old rooted trees warmly welcome visitors and provide them with an aura of serene. It’s a very worthy place to relax as well and you can observe nature very closely here.

This park is a must-visit If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet moment away from all the noises. For kids, there are swings and seesaw in the park. In form of shelter, there are plenty of natural shades. Consistently very well maintained as well as an idle place to hang out with family, friends or even alone, especially a good place for kids to have fun. Though it has no great infrastructural development but is that type of place which really relaxes you as surrounded by nature, clean air, no traffic, and just a fine place to photograph.

History

The park also holds great importance in the history of Nagaland. Though has a small area but is very constructive and provides a good natural view of the historical model of a house constructed on the hilltop. It’s a very eco-friendly location as well.

By Air: At Assam, Jorhat, the nearest airport from Mokokchung is located. From the airport to Mokokchung district headquarter is at a distance of 112 km. From many major cities of India, there are daily flights to this airport. Next is the airport in Dimapur, Nagaland airport, which is located at a distance of 212 km from the town, Mokokchung. This airport is well connected with various cities in the country like New Delhi, Kolkata, and Guwahati and is also the only airport in the state of Nagaland. You can travel by air till Jorhat and take a hired taxi or daily Tata Sumo services to visit Mokokchung.

By Rail: From Mokokchung District, Assam,Mariani Junction is the nearest railhead. From Mokokchung district headquarter, it is set roughly at a distance of 86.4 km.

By Road: If one prefers to take the journey from Dimapur There are plenty of Buses both available day and night in shared Tata Sumo services to Mokokchung.This will take time of around 6 to 8 hours at most probably. From Guwahati to Mokokchung town and vice versa, daily direct night bus services of Blue Hills and Network Travels are also available.
