History

Marari derives from Mararikulum. Mararikulum is a local fishing village on the Arabian Sea Coast. Marari Beach is considered Kerala’s one of the cleanest and largest coastlines. On the basis of a National Geographic survey, Marari beach was rated among the top five HAMMOCK BEACH in the world.

The whole view of this place is absolutely beautiful. Every year a lot of people visited this place. Marari is an outstanding place to chill out. There are enough sightseeing places where people can spend their quality time. Every year in the month of August there is a race called Snake Boat Race. The race is very amazing to see. Marari is quite adventurous place. People can try sea surfing, parasailing, water skiing, and deep-sea fishing to enjoy. The environment of this place is amazing. The Beach is very neat and clean.

How to Reach

By train: The nearest rail stations to reach the beach are Alleppey (16km), Kottayam (42km), and Cochin (55km). After you reach there you can take any vehicle to reach the place.

By Bus: National Highway (NH47) is situated about 1 km away from Marari Village. Through the National Highway, Cochin is easily accessible. After you reach there you can take any vehicle to reach the place.

By Air: The nearest airport to reach Marari beach in Kochi. From the airport car and taxi are available to reach the destination. It is the easiest way ever.
