    Mehrangarh Museum & Trust inside view

    Mehrangarh Museum has great importance in history. It has an artistic and cultural history of the state of Rajasthan and Marwar-Jodhpur. It was established by the 36th Custodian of Marwar-Jodhpur, H.H.Maharaja Gai Singh Ji in 1972 to make the historical Mehrangarh fort more interesting and alive to visitors.

    It is an example of 17th, 18th, and 19th-century collections of Miniature Paintings, Arms and Armours, Textiles, Decorative Arts, and Furniture. 

     It consists of seven-period rooms- Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Takhat Vilas, Sardar Vilas, Jhanki Mahal, Dipak Mahal, Moti Mahal and six Galleries namely, Howdah Gallery, Palanquin Gallery, Daulat Khana, Painting Gallery, Textile Gallery, and Arms Gallery.
