    Ranthambore national park is a national park in Rajasthan and one of the biggest and most famous national parks in northern India. It is one of the largest parks in India. The park is situated 13.5 kilometers from the city of Sawai Madhopur in the state of Rajasthan. It is considered to be one of the famous hunting grounds of the Maharajas of the city of Jaipur. This park is named after the famous Ranthambore fort which is located near the park. That is another attractive tourist destination in the city. This park has an area of 1,334 km2.

    First of all, this is a vast wildlife reserve under the state of Rajasthan. The Ranthambore national park is enriched with biodiversity and a unique ecosystem which is pretty much unique.     Ranthambore National Park has established in 1955 as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary. The total area of the park is about 282 km2. In 1973 the park was declared one of the Project Tiger reserves. It became a national park on 1st November 1980. In 198r, the forests were declared the Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary and Keladevi Sanctuary. The Tiger Reserve was expanded to include the adjoining Keladevi Sanctuary in the north and Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary to the south along with other forests in 1992.

    By air: The nearest airport to this park is the Sanganer Airport in Jaipur. It is well connected with the other cities of India. It is 180 km away from Ranthambore National park. Which can be accessed by buses. You can also hire cars to reach the famous park.

    By train: The nearest railway station to this park is situated in Sawai Madhopur. It is about 13.5 km away from the renowned Ranthambore National park. A good number of trains from all the major cities stop at this station. By hiring any local transport you can easily reach the park.

    By Road: You can find local transport which can take you to the place.
