    Located in the small city of Pushkar, under the district of Ajmer, in the state of Rajasthan, India Savitri Mata temple or Savitri Temple is a Hindu temple of Goddess Savitri. It is situated on Ratnagiri Hill and is a popular pilgrimage site. 

    Many festivals are celebrated here throughout the year. Jagran is one of them. Jagran is organized here on the Night of Saptami of Bhadra month, according to the Hindu calendar.

    There is an interesting history associated with the history of the temple. According to legends, Once, Lord Brahma was performing a Yagna on the bank of the lake Pushkar where the presence of Goddess Savitri mata was required. But she was late and the holy moment was passing away. So, Lord Brahma had to marry another girl to complete the ritual. When Mata Savitri. arrived she was very upset by seeing this and she cursed everyone who was present there. Later, she went to Ratnagiri hills to sacrifice for her deeds and changed into a river. After this, the temple was constructed to her dedication. Whenever you are visiting this temple you can see a stream flowing beside this temple.

    This ancient temple is situated at an elevation of 750 ft and a flight of 650 steps to the temple. This is one of the most significant temples in India and has great importance. Here the idols of both the wives of Brahma named Gayatri and Savitri are established. 

    This temple has a total of 3 idols. The idol of Goddess Savitri is in the middle flanked by Goddess Saraswati on the left side and Goddess Sharda on the right side.

    By air: The nearest airport to Savitri Maya temple is the Kishangarh Airport. It is situated at a distance of 51.2 km from the temple. This airport has a good connection with other cities in India. Local transports are easily available at the airport which can take you to the Brahma temple.

    By train: The nearest railway station to the Savitri Mata temple is the Ajmer railway junction. It is situated at a distance of 16.3 km from the place. This rail station is well connected with the other cities of Rajasthan as well as India. You will easily find local transport at the station. By hiring them you can reach your destination.

    After reaching the foot of Ratnagiri Hill you need to take a ropeway or by footstep to reach the temple.

    By Road: You can find local transport at the airport that can take you to the lake.
