    The Simsang river which is also known as the Someshwari River is a major river in the Garo Hills of Meghalaya a state of India. The name basically changes when the river transcends the border of Bangladesh. The river Simsang trickles down from the Nokrek Peak, eventually swelling upon being joined by the chief tributaries which are Rompa, Rongdik, Ringdi, and Chibok.


    The surroundings of the place are wonderful. It is a great picnic spot. You can go there with your family and have an amazing time. This place is good for fishing also. You would like to sit near the river and enjoy the scenery and atmosphere. It will be a relaxing experience. There are also boat ride facilities.
