    History

    The entire lake used to be used for fishing. The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation took over the Pleasure Boat Lake on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism in 1973. Another additional attraction of Ooty Lake is the Mini Train and an amusement park.
