As it is the only park of its kind, the Thenzawl Deer Park attracts tourists from all over the world.

History

The place Thenzawl once upon a time was only a very dense forest. About 50 years back the forest cover was reduced and man started inhabiting this place. This is the reason why many deer were frequently spotted in the region. The Thenzawl Deer Park was created to give those deer a protected home. Currently, the Thenzawl Deer Park has about 17 deer. 11 of them are female and 6 of them are male. The deer are kept in their natural environment, and only the boundaries are protected.

The gorgeous Thenzawl Deer Park is surrounded by green mountains and trees and so many migratory birds which look fabulous. The Setting of the park is very natural and the environment of the park is kept suitable for the deer. The park is beautiful and perfect for sightseeing.
