The period of riding a bike is the time to take out the Explorer among them and modify the roads of self-discovery. For such enthusiastic bike riders, India seems to be the perfect match as it can provide an experience that has virtually no match. Biking in India provides easy access to remote places and helps to better understand the diversity of the country.

West Arunachal Pradesh

With its most humble view, Explore Arunachal Pradesh is one of the best places to ride a bike in India.  Yes, you have a high chance of finding dirt roads and landslides while traveling but the beauty of nature compensates for everything here.  Waterfalls, rooftop paddy fields, alpine forests, mountain streams, small human settlements, now covered roads (winter), and the opportunity to witness the unique tribal culture make this high altitude path irresistible for adventurers. Bomdila, Dirang, Tawang, Gorshem Chorten, Zero, Parashuram Kund and Namdafa National Parks are part of this paradise called West Arunachal Pradesh.

Tamil Nadu

This special place will surely make your heart beat faster!  Kolli Hills is a picturesque hill station in the Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu.  The hills are famous for 70 continuous hairpin bends, which is enough to excite all of you.  This tropical hill is also famous for its Agaya Gangai waterfall, ancient Shiva temple and pineapple farm.  Riding a bike from Bangalore to Kolli hills on weekends seems to be an ideal plan.

Kerala

Kerala is a land of ancient beaches, beautiful lighthouses and captivating greenery. In the state, no one is spoiled for choice when fixing the route of the bike. Ideal trips to Kerala include biking from Cochin to the South Ghats where a variety of wildlife can be seen. Great views of the tea and rubber plantations and paddy fields along the way inspire the rider. On the other hand, a bike route to the Southwest WharfKodaikanal welcomes bikers with open arms.  The route will go through the famous tea garden trek of Munnar district.  The journey then continues towards Ooty and the bikers have to climb the Nilgiri hills at an altitude of 2,000 meters. From Nilgiris, the trip will continue towards Calicut and end at Cochin.  One can expect a good view of the backwaters of Kerala and a chance to taste the mouth-watering food of the state.

Valparai – Bajchal forest

There are some exciting biking routes in South India and one of the best examples of this is the Bhajachal forest from Valparai.  An ideal bike ride on this route would be in the rainy season. This route connects Pollachi in Tamil Nadu with Chalakuri in Kerala, which is mainly covered by fine tropical rainforests and clouds and evergreen forests. The tail goes through stunning waterfalls and numerous dams and reservoirs.  And since the area is part of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve or Vajachal Forest Reserve, wildlife philosophy is a significant part of it. The well-maintained roads and the emerald beauty of the forest highlight what can certainly entice bike riders here.

Mumbai – Goa

It is one of the most famous road trip routes in India and deserves all the fame it deserves.  Popularly known as NH17 (National Highway 17), this route offers travel along the west coast of India.  NH17 connects Mumbai with Kerala, so if your adventure is not satisfied with the journey between Mumbai and Goa, you can just get some more petrol on your bike and go to the state of Kerala.  The journey between Mumbai and Goa gives the feeling of climbing a foreign road with excellent landscapes to see and nurture.

If you plan to visit the Northeast for sightseeing and travel, this is a route that must be considered. Starting from Guwahati, the road will take you to the picturesque capital of Meghalaya Shillong and then one of the wettest places in the world and then finally to the picturesque terrain of the Eastern Khasi Hills.  One can go a little further on the trail and find a way to reach some of the most amazing places in India like the cleanest village (Maolinong), the living main bridge and a few more fresh waterfalls. Of course, paved roads are a big help in making this bike ride route ideal in India.

East Coast Highway in Tamil Nadu

The East Coast Highway in Tamil Nadu is another exemplary bike ride route in India. The greenery and beautiful rhododendrons accompany the rider with all the passengers, where the road and its sharp edges provide constant cooling of the spine.
