Bhopal is the capital city and one of the main tourist attractions of the Indian state Madhya Pradesh. Due to many natural and artificial lakes, it is known as the “City of Lakes”. Besides, the city is one of the greenest cities in India.

Tajul Masjid is the largest mosque in Bhopal, where a religious pilgrimage takes place three days a year, attracting Muslim pilgrims from all over India.

The state capital, was part of the Sehore district after the establishment of Madhya Pradesh. After Its disaster in the Gregorian calendar month of 1984, the town attracted international attention.

To develop this as a smart city, it was approved as one of the first twenty Indian cities.

The major festivals of Bhopal are Eid and Diwali. The city’s main cultural center is Bharat Bhavan, where every year many theatre and film festivals are hosted.

How to reach

By Air: It conducts domestic and international flights, that’s why One can easily reach there by air. Raja Bhoj Airport, also known as Bhopal airport, is situated at a distance of 15km from the central city of Bhopal. This city is directly connected to Delhi, Indore, Gwalior, and Mumbai by various flights.

By train: It has its train station near Hamidia Street. This train is well connected to major cities like Delhi, Bombay, and Chennai.

 The Bhopal Junction station located in the old Bho-pal and Bho-pal Habibganj station located in the new Bhopal is the city’s central station.

By Road: In the cities of the state to Bhopal there are regular bus connections. An interstate bus terminus, the Kushabhau Thakre Inter State Bus Terminal, is located near the Habibganj railway station, which was inaugurated in 2011.
