Deoghar is a holy city beside the Mayurakshi River, in the east Indian state of Jharkhand. The ancient Baba Baidyanath Temple complex is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site. Nearby, Shiv Ganga is a sacred pool where devotees of Shiva bathe. There is a shrine to Krishna in the ornate, stone-carved Naulakha Mandir temple. Northeast of town, Harila Jori is the site of a whitewashed Shiva temple and a sacred water tank. (According to wiki)
By Road: Regular bus services ply to and fro the city of Deoghar and it’s well-connected with many other nearby cities. Many bus operators operate their bus on a daily basis, through a well-connected roadways network, whether day or night, from places like Patna, Ranchi etc. By chance, if you miss the bus, you can also take shared taxis or cabs for the same route.
By Train: The railway station is located in Baidyanath Dham at a distance of 7 Km from Deoghar and is well connected with many major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, etc.
By Air: Deoghar has no airport of its own. And that’s why there is no direct flight connectivity to Deoghar. The nearest Domestic Airport is Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Airport, Patna, located at a distance of 274 Kms from Deoghar. Patna has daily flights to many cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ranchi, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Goa, and Vishakhapatnam.
