Tirupati is a census town in the Chittoor district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. This city has many historical temples and is known as the “Spiritual Capital of Andhra Pradesh”. In 2012-13, the Indian Ministry of Tourism named Tirupati as the “Best Heritage City”. The Government of India has selected Tirupati as one of the hundreds of cities in India to be developed as a city of memory under the Smart Cities Mission. How to reach

By Air: Tirupati has its own airport, which is located in the Renigunta region and is also called Renigunta Airport. It is located near the main town. It is located around 14 km from Tirupati and 39 km from the Venkateswara Temple. There are limited flights from here to Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai, but the flights are quite frequent. There is another alternative airway, Chennai International Airport, which is around four hours from Tirupati.

By Train: Tirupati has its own railway station which is the main railway junction of the South Central Railway system. This railway station has regular direct trains from various nearby cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and several other cities. The nearby Gudur and Renigunta can also be reached by train. After reaching the railway station, you can easily hire a taxi or cab to reach your preferred destinations.

By Road: Tirupati is very well connected to other cities in the state of Andhra Pradesh through a good network of roads and it is also connected to cities like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. The city is connected to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Vijayawada, etc. by various prevenient buses. You can regularly travel to Tirupati by deluxe, sleeper, A /C, or non-A/C buses.
