Udaipur is a popular city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan and it was the capital of the state of Mewar. Founded in 1559 by the Maharana King Udai Singh ll, it is known for setting up multiple artificial lakes and scenic royal residences. City Palace, a monument to 11 palaces, courtyards, and gardens overlooking Lake Pichola, famous for peacock mosaics. If we identify Udaipur as one of the most romantic places in India, it will not be wrong.  It is a prestigious, scenic city with a perfect collection of culture, history, and heritage and carries the perfect honeymoon destination, cultural center, and historical look of Rajasthan. Some of the wise rulers of the time literally built an oasis in the middle of the desert. They must be praised today for their creation. How to reach

By Road: It is well-connected with many other major cities by road. Udaipur bus stand is located inside the city. You can find regular buses from many cities inside Rajasthan and numerous top cities around the country. Buses run to and from throughout the day. You can find both private and public buses with varying luxury levels. The frequency and demand for buses depend on the season.

By Train: It is well-connected to many other major cities in India such as Jaipur, Delhi, Kolkata, Indore, Mumbai, and Kota. Some of the popular trains that run daily are Mewar Express, Gwalior-Udaipur Express, Bandra-Udaipur SF Express, Chetak Express, and Annanya Expres. In fact, the famous and luxurious Palace of Wheels also makes a scheduled stop in there. After reaching the railway station, you can easily hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw depending on where you want to get down in the city. The fare will depend on the number of kilometers covered.

By Air: This city has no airport of its own. The nearest airport from there is the Maharana Pratap Airport, which is situated about 20 km away from the city center. It is well-networked by air to all major cities in India including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Jaipur. Some of the popular airlines that have daily flights to and from Udaipur are Jet Airways, Indian Airlines, Air Deccan, and Kingfisher Airlines. After reaching the airport, you can hire cabs or book pre-paid taxis that are easily available for traveling between the airport and the city.
