    Asansol Railway Station is located in West Bengal. It plays a significant role as a hub in the Eastern Railway Zone of India, which is situated on the Howrah Delhi main line. It is also known as the busiest station in the country. It said that around 171 trains pass the station daily. The West entrance of Asansol Railway Station is well-maintained with various advantages. It provides escalators at platforms 2 and 7 and also provides wi-fi service. There are some food shops which are open 24/7.  The station also provides three double bedded Ac Waiting rooms.     History

    Asansol Junction Railway was built in the year 1863-64. It is recognized as one of the busiest and oldest Railway stations in India. It is well-connected with all other stations in India. The station began to develop for its strategic location on the Howrah Delhi Mainline.  It plays an amazing role in the area’s industrial development. The West Entrance of Asansol Junction was constructed over the years to maintain the rising number of passengers. It also helps to increase the importance of the station. Primarily, the station was used to transport coal from the nearby mines to Kolkata and other parts of India. However, after some time, it has been developed by providing various modern opportunities such as escalators, Wi-Fi, and 24/7 food service. The station was developed with electrification in the late 1950s. It adds another facility to the station.

    By Bus: Asansol Railway Station Bus Stand is the nearest bus stand to the station. It is located on Station Road, Munshi Bazar, very close to the station. From here, you can get there very easily within a short time.

    By Air: The closest airport to the station is Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (RDP).  It is only 27.1 km away from the station. It is located in Durgapur. From here you can hire any local transport to reach there.

    By Train: Burnpur Railway Station is the nearest station to the place. It is only 8 km away from the place. From here you can take any local transport to reach there very easily.
