Bakthang Waterfall gorgeous waterfall is 4 km from Gangtok town and can be found on the North Sikkim Highway (NH10), which leads to Tashi View Point. It’s worthwhile to take some time to stop at this roadside waterfall on the way to or from Tashi View Point. Even while the fall isn’t very high, its width is what gives it such beauty. The cascading water cascades down a green creeper canopy. The waterfall is nourished by the Ratey Chu River, which rises from Tanze Glacial Lake at an elevation of Bakthang. Fall is a beautiful location for photographs. The rope slide (for Rs. 100/-) is another draw for the young and active people here. It’s a quick, few-second descent, but it’s still pretty exhilarating. A few stores and even a cafe (Sikkim Government Tourism Cafeteria) have emerged on the other side of the street. The stores sell woolen goods, shawls, handbags, and other items made in Sikkim. The café provides more than just tea, coffee, and hot chocolate; it can also be a pleasant spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning if you are traveling to North Sikkim (such as Lachung or Lachen). It serves vegetarian burgers, sandwiches, alu thukpa, pastas, Maggie, wai wai, and other dishes. They also provide main meals like chow mein and veggie fried rice throughout lunch.
