    Ballal Dhipi is a historical landmark. It holds great significance in history. It is a beautiful place in the lap of nature. The surroundings of this place are so beautiful. You can find an ancient vibe here. It is full of greenery. The environment of this place is so calm and peaceful. People from many places come to visit this place. This historical landmark covers an area of 1300 sq ft and is 30 ft tall. It is close to Mayapur. Archeologists have found some structures of a temple complex in the late 12th century AD.

The Place is so beautiful that you can’t leave it early. However, in the fort, there is only a mud mound, and nothing is left. All the palace and others things are under the soil. But the surroundings and historical value makes it a worthwhile tour. But there are many items of this fort, and terracottas are in the collections of museums in India and abroad. These items are very precious, and from that, you can learn and see a lot of things. I think if you are an art lover, then you should visit this Place.     History

    If you are an ancient structure lover, This place is for you. The locals call it ‘Ballal Dhipi’, named after Ballal Sen.He was the king of the Sen Dynasty, and he ruled Bangla in The 12 century AD. ASI started excavation in the Early 1980s. Nothing is  known about much of this place and the background of this place. But in the late 1970 s this mound became the centre of attraction of ASI. Then, they dug out of this place in the 1980s. They found some animal heads, terracotta humans, animal figures, copper utensils, and other objects were found at the site.

    The view of this place is amazing. It is in The middle of the village and the surroundings are full of greenery. This fort is now under the soil. You can see only some mounds. A great big wall and a huge surrounding are seen all around the mound. It is in the middle of the green landscape. The view of this place is amazing. The pictures of this royal piece of architecture merges perfectly with the surrounding river area and looks subtle and elegant. This is why people from different countries come to visit this place. The fort holds a very strong historical and archaeological significance. But it is so unfortunate that the Government has not taken any action to maintain it. It needed more maintenance.     By Rail: Shantipur Railway Station is the nearest railway station to this place. After reaching the station, you can take an auto rickshaw or hire a cab to reach your destination.

    By road: I think by road is the best way to get there. You can hire a car or cab to reach your destination directly. Otherwise, you can take a bus to reach Kolkata first, then take an auto-rickshaw to get anywhere. It is well connected to other Cities.
