    Bangalore Palace is a royal palace. It is situated in the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Bangalore Palace was founded by King Chamaraja Wadiyar in the year of 1878. In 1873 Chamaraja Wadiyar bought the property from the principal of Bangalore Central High school from his Rev, j Garret’s fund. The total area of Bangalore Palace is 45000 square feet. A combination of Tudor and Scottish architecture have evolved into the royal palace that we see today. We can see the royal culture both inside and outside in different ways. This palace also hosts various kinds of cultural events like rock shows and marriages. King Chamaraja Wadiyar took his inspiration for making this palace from the Windsor Castle of London.

    History

    The Bangalore Palace where it is situated now originally belonged to a school principal of the cantonment town, Reverend J Garrett. In 1874 in April this place marked the beginning of the construction of the palace. The responsibility of landscaping was taken by John Cameron was the artistic mind behind Lalbagh. In the year of 1878, the primary construction was completed. But then more improvements and additional work continued for a few more years. The ownership of this royal palace is under the Mysore royal family. HH Pramoda Devi Wadiyar is the owner of this palace. No palace is fully completed without jewels and curses which also have the Bangalore Palace also. It is said that some of the jewels of Bangalore Palace were stolen. When she was asked to return the jewels she refused and cursed the king.
