    Barsi gate is considered a good example of Sultanate architecture. It is one of the five gates, which is the surviving gate, that surrounded the walled city of Hansi.     History

    In 1303 AD, This ancient gateway was built by Sultan Alauddin Khilji. After that during the rule of Ibrahim Lodhi, it was repaired in 1522. The height of this gate is 30 meters. The gate is under the protection of the Government of India. The other four gates were Hisar Gate (West), Gosain Gate (North-west), Delhi Gate (East), and Umra Gate (Southwest). This gate has been damaged and repaired many times. During the battle Between Marathas and the British forces in 1801, this gate was damaged. In 2001, the gate got last repaired.
