Bhawarnath Temple situated on the western end of the city. It js believed that Baba Bhananthnagar gives relief to his devotees by performing Darshan-worshiping. Even this is the reason why any festival of Shiva worship is followed by the people of the city and the surrounding areas.

Must visit this place in the evening time. Then you can join the sandha arati of this place which is so peaceful. It’s even said that if you wish something from lord shiva in this temple, you will surely fulfill that. In this temple, a great fair on the day of Shivratri, and according to tradition, Shiva marriage is organized.

You must visit this temple after 8 pm and participate in Prabhu Shringar almost every day. Stay there for atleast an hour,

History

Bhawarnath Temple is about the establishment of the temple. The foundation of the temple was laid on October 4, 1951, and it was completed after seven years on December 13, 1958. The local people of this area said that hundreds of years ago, a baba named Bhawarnath used to feed his cow in that place. At that time, a Shiv linga was established, and his cow was grazing on one side, and on the other side, he used to meditate on Shiva sitting there. So, in the name of Baba, who grazed the same cow, this place was named Bhawarnath.

One of the beautiful Bhagwan Shiva temple in azamgarh. Other god and goddess idols are also situated in this temple and a Tulsi plant. It has lot of space with two gates entrance and exit. In this temple one can pray and other part of temple small marriage functions and Jagrata can be done nicely . During festive season many small shops are there.
This temple is Good for marriage and other small programs. It’s very rush at festival times.
