Sir Mirza Ismail was the first planner of the gardens and the work has been going on for 5 years. He is the original founder of the Brindavan Gardens.

Among the notable attractions of Mysore, the beauty of Brindaban is best, mainly in the evening. Yellow lights around the garden with various colored lights on both sides of the road, the main ones being a light show and a musical fountain. The perfect combination of music with laser lights and with fountains makes the whole garden very interesting in the evening. The flow of water is digitally controlled according to a sequence. Tourists are given the opportunity to visit the gallery where illumination is presented in the rhythm of different songs. All in all Brindavan Garden will be an amazing place for you to visit.

The origin of these so-called Brindavan Gardens is in the Krishnaraja Sagara Dam in Srirangapatna Taluka, under the Mandya district of Karnataka state. It is known that its construction work started in 1926 and ended in 1932. Then Sir Mirza Ismail wanted to enhance the beauty of the region so he had this plan. He planned all the gardens. It took him 5 years to complete the Dam. The work was completed in 1932 and the Dam was opened to the public. The design of the gardens has been inspired by Bangalore’s Lalbagh Botanical Garden and Kashmir’s Shalimar Bagh, although the map is signed in the ancient Mughal style. Sir Mirza Ismail is the original founder of the garden, which is now managed and preserved by the Kaveri Irrigation Project.

    Inside/Outside Views

It is one of the terrace gardens in the world. The park looks like it is wrapped in a green sheet and makes Mysore stand out. The place has fountains to protect the trees to keep them clean. Brindavan is a place where you can find fresh air of nature and pure oxygen. Spending evenings here for a variety of plants, botanical parks, and boat rides will give you delight. There are two farms here, one is Naguvana, the other is Chandravana Horticulture Farm. Naguvana is spread over 30 acres and 5 acres smaller than Chandravana.
