    In 1976, the Chennai Lighthouse took the position of the city’s previous lighthouse, which was located to the north of Marina Beach.     How to Reach

    By Air: You can take public transportation like the metro or bus to get to the lighthouse if you’re arriving from Chennai International Airport, or you can hire a taxi. Depending on traffic, it takes approximately 45 to an hour to drive from the airport.

    By Road: The lighthouse is easily accessible by road and may be accessed by autorickshaw, cab, or automobile. To find the lighthouse, use GPS navigation or ask locals for directions to Marina Beach.

    By Train: Chennai Beach Station or Chennai Fort Station are the closest suburban train stations. The lighthouse is accessible by bus or auto rickshaw from there.
