    Chuchay Dhunga got its name Titanic View Point after the historical giant ship Titanic. The shape of this place is like the structure of a ship. It was chosen to be named Titanic View Point because of its familiarity with the Titanic ship. Titanic View Point is a picturesque gem in South Sikkim’s Ralong Village. It is a recently discovered place in South Sikkim. This place is snuggled at an elevation of about 5,500 feet in the southern part of SikkimThis place is steadily gaining the attention of travel fanatics from across the country. Situated at Namlung Village of Ralong in South Sikkim, 17.7 kilometers away from Ravangla.

    History

    On 18th February 2018, Titanic View Point Project was initiated by the authorities of Sikkim. It was completed on 14th August 2018.

    Inside/Outside Views

    Well-built iron bars were set to perfectly frame the bow-shaped edges of the viewpoint. Well-constructed pathways had also been built leading towards the viewpoint. This natural viewpoint gives you the experience of enjoying the beauty of the serene mountain fully. The environment of the place helps to inhale some super fresh air.

    How to Reach

    By Air: Bagdogra airport of Siliguri, West Bengal is the nearest airport to reach Ravangla. This airport is connected with all the main cities of India by regular flights. It is around 129 kilometers from Ravangla. It will take 4-5 hours to reach Ravangla from the airport. By reaching the airport you can hire a private taxi to reach Ravangla. Sikkim got its own airport– Pakyong Airport. It is well connected with all the main cities of India. So you can also reach Ravangla by this airport. Chuchay Dhunga or Titanic View Point is only 17.7 kilometers from Ravangla. After reaching Ravangla, South Sikkim you will need another 50 minutes to drive to reach Ralong village. 

    By Train: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station of Siliguri, West Bengal is the nearest railway station to reach Ravangla. It is around 122 kilometers from Ravangla. Chuchay Dhunga or Titanic View Point is only 17.7 kilometers from Ravangla. After reaching Ravangla, South Sikkim you will need another 50 minutes to drive to reach Ralong village. 

    By Road: Ravangla is easily accessible by road from all the main cities of the country. It is around 15 kilometers from Geyzing. Geyzing is well connected with Darjeeling, Siliguri, and Gangtok. You can easily go by private taxi and shared taxi. Buses are also available from Siliguri, Darjeeling, Gangtok, Pelling Tashiding, Yuksom and others. Chuchay Dhunga or Titanic View Point is only 17.7 kilometers from Ravangla. After reaching Ravangla, South Sikkim you will need another 50 minutes to drive to reach Ralong village. Gangtok is around 68 kilometers from Ravangla. It is the most convenient way to reach Ravangla that first comes to Gangtok and then drives down to Ravangla.
