The Kataka Chandi Temple, situated in Cuttack, is an ancient temple dedicated to the Goddess ‘Chandi,’ the presiding deity of Cuttack, Odisha. The holy temple is located near the banks of the ‘Mahanadi’ River. It is widely famous for the annual ‘Durga Puja‘ and ‘Kali Puja‘ festivals. The ‘Durga Puja’ festivities are special in Maa Cuttack Chandi Temple, which takes place for 16 consecutive days, starting from a dark fortnight of ‘Ashwina Krishna Ashtami’ till ‘Ashwina Shukla Navami’ as well as Vijayadashami.
