    Devi Talab Mandir is the oldest temple in Jalandhar Because this temple was constructed 200 years ago. This temple is the heart of this city Because it’s the main attraction of this city.

    This temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and one of the 51 Shakti Peethas is Durga. In recent times this temple has had a few changes Because it was renovated.

    History

    Devi Talab Mandir

    This temple is very significant Because it’s believed that the goddess Sati sacrificed her life after her father insulted her husband, and out of anger, Lord Shiva danced, which is called Thandav, with his wife’s body in his hand. To save this world from Shiva’s Fury, Lord Vishnu let out his Chakra, which shredded Sati’s body into pieces, and out of the 51 pieces, she cut into. One of these body parts has fallen at this spot, and the body part is her right breast, thus leading to the construction of Mata Tripurmalini Mandir within the temple.

    Inside/Outside Views

    Inside this temple, there is a pyramid-like tomb that is led by a long passage and is attached to the temple. In this pond where the Devotees take a dip as a sign of salvation and blessing. Besides this temple, there is an ancient temple called Devi Kali’ Mandir. A structure resembling the Amarnath Cave has been constructed within the temple, and several festivals occur there.

    During December, a popular ritual which is called Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan is conducted, during which many children sing songs praising Lord Durga.

    By air: Nearby airport from this place is Adampur Airport. You can easily reach this temple by air.

    By rail: Jalandhar Junction is the nearest railway station from this place and the trail is also good. After reaching this station you can take a taxi to reach this Temple.
    By road: If you have your car then you can easily reach there by car or you can hire a car to reach there. Otherwise, you can take a bus to reach Jalandhar. After reaching, the Jalandhar bus stands you can take a taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach this mandir.  It’s the best way to reach this temple.
