History

The word ‘Shanti’ means peace. King Ashoka adopted the path of peace and equality. He founded the Foundation of Dhauli Shanti Stupa, where the Kalinga war ended. The construction of this place was assisted by Fujii Guruji. Then, the place became devoted to and worshipped by many people of different generations. It is visited by many Buddhist devotees throughout the year. It is also the best place for photographers to take photos.
