    Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the eight wildlife sanctuaries of Arunachal Pradesh and its located in the upper Dibang Valley district covering an area of 4149 km^2. This sanctuary is rich in wildlife and rare mammals like red goral, black bare, Mishmi takin, Asiatic black bear, musk deer occasionally tiger and Gongshan muntjac occur while among birds there are the rare Sclater’s monal and Blyth’s tragopan.

    This place is located fully or partly within Dihang-Dibang Biosphere Reserve.

    This place is established in 1992 and is protected by the Department of Environment and Forest of Arunachal Pradesh

    Besides Choudhury, Anwaruddin surveyed mammals and birds in Dihang-Dibang biosphere Reserve in 2008.

    This place houses rare birds like Sclater’s monal and Blyth’s tragopan.

    Besides, a flying squirrel has been seen around the sanctuary a couple of times and it has been named Mishmi hills giant flying squirrel also this sanctuary is so unique and one of a kind. Laying at an altitude of about 5000 meters it houses snow leopards and clouded leopards in the zone, now this is a definite must-visit wildlife sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh With the vegetation of temperate and alpine types you can notice a variety of flora. In the wildlife reserve, you will be able to see plants like rhododendron rivals,  Saxifraga, sedum, rthomaonii, Saussure, pheum, Arenaria, etc.

    By road: By road is the best way to reach this place.  You can take a bus to reach Arunachal Pradesh first.  After reaching there, you can take a taxi to reach this sanctuary. Otherwise, you can hire a car to reach this place directly.
