    Durgiana is one of the famous temples in Amritsar. This temple similarly looks like the Shikh Golden temple. This temple’s name came from the Goddess Durga and This temple is dedicated to Goddes Durga. In this temple, Lakshmi and Vishnu parties are also there and worshipped in the temple.

    History

    This temple is very important for all the Hindus and In the courtyard of the temple is a tree where Lava and Kusha bound Hanuman after the captured challenged horse of the Ashvamedha Yajna. In the 1868 Municipal committee, Amritsar Documents’ existence of the Talab is also mentioned. 

    Campbell mentioned durgiana in his book where he found some mystics practicing yoga. This temple is originally built in the 1centcentury.

    This temple almost measures 160 meters (520 ft) and its canopies and dome are similar to that of the Golden Temple of the Sikh region.

    The dome is illuminated with colorful lights and this temple is sometimes called silver  Because of the large exquisitely designed silver doors and also a rich collection of Hindu scripture.
