Gandhi Samadhi is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi (Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi), who is known as the ‘Father of the Nation’ in India. Gandhi’s samadhi signifies the struggles that Mahatma Gandhi took over for the independence of India from British Rule. The term ‘Mahatma’ refers to the ‘great soul,’ and famous poet Rabindranath Tagore used it as a mark of deep valorization for Gandhi’s integrity and steely resolve in India’s struggle for independence.
This place in Rampur is comparatively quiet and has a pleasant atmosphere. It’s the only thing that is in Rampur after Delhi because Gandhi Samadhi is only in these two places. It is a very busy place because of the four surrounding roads, but in the morning, it is the best place to walk and exercise in a pleasant atmosphere. People use the area as a park where they can do jogging and running. Overall, it is a nice place to visit if you are going to Rampur.
