    How to Reach

By Air: The closest airport to Gangtok is Bagdogra Airport (126 km; 4 hours). Major cities including Guwahati, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata are connected to it. Make an effort to secure a seat on the aircraft. The route to Bagdogra provides breathtaking vistas of valleys covered in greenery and snow-capped peaks. The Teesta River is visible from above. Just 29 km from Gangtok, the recently constructed Pakyong Airport is another airport you might want to take into consideration. But there aren’t many flights that go there, so we advise staying with Bagdogra. A thirty-minute helicopter ride from Bagdogra to Gangtok is another service provided by the Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC). However, to avoid last-minute disappointments, you must enquire about this service in advance as it is dependent on weather conditions.

By Bicycle: Rentable bicycles can be found in many locations, including the market area close to Gangtok M G Marg. The distance from Gangtok M G Marg to Ropeway is almost 2 kilometers.

By Taxi: The most convenient way to see the Gangtok Ropeway is to take a shared or private taxi. The best automobile rental businesses in Gangtok have them available right now. You can reserve one and take your time exploring the ropeway and other tourist attractions.
