    Gomti Riverfront is a recently built park on the banks of the River Gomti in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, about 7 kilometers from Lucknow Junction. One of the best locations to visit as part of Lucknow tour packages is the area around Ambedkar Park. Gomti Riverfront Park was built with the preservation and development of the Gomti River in mind, which is regarded as Uttar Pradesh’s lifeline. It was officially opened in 2016. The river rises at Madhav Tanda, Pilibhit, flows through Lucknow, and ends up joining the Ganga in Jaunpur.     Gomti Riverfront Park The Uttar Pradesh government launched the Gomti Riverfront Park project in Lucknow to restore the Gomti River’s banks and provide a public recreation area for locals and tourists. The park’s concept first surfaced in the early 2000s, and Akhilesh Yadav, the chief minister at the time, oversaw the start of construction in 2014. The construction of recreational facilities, paths, vegetation planting, lighting, and landscaping were all part of the park’s development. The park’s purpose was to provide a calm setting for recreational pursuits like walking, jogging, cycling, picnics, and boating. Along the riverbank, there are additional sculptures, fountains, and observation platforms.
