The park’s concept first surfaced in the early 2000s, and Akhilesh Yadav, the chief minister at the time, oversaw the start of construction in 2014. The park’s purpose was to provide a calm setting for recreational pursuits like walking, jogging, cycling, picnics, and boating. Along the riverbank, there are additional sculptures, fountains, and observation platforms.
