    This museum is situated in Chandigarh in India. Basically, a museum means a building in which objects of historical, scientific, artistic, or cultural interest are stored and exhibited. So it’s a museum of ancient paintings where Gandhara sculptures, mang ancient paintings, and medieval sculptures are exhibited. It is one of the most popular museums in Chandigarh as well as India.

That is, the Central Museum of Pakistan period which was located in Lahore was brought from there. Basically, this change in the museum took place after the partition of the country in 1947.

    History

    The main designer of the museum building was Le Corbusier. He was a man of Switch origin but was a citizen of Funs. He was accompanied by three other architects. They are Manmohan Nath Sharma, Shiv Dutt Sharma, and Pierre Jeanneret. First, the architecture was designed from 1060-1962 and the building was under construction from 1962-1967.  Presently the museum is under Chandigarh administration.
