    History

    This tea estate was established in 1854 by an Englishman David Wilson. In 1903  TP Banerjee; a rich Bengali man from the Hooghly area took the tea estate (Wilson estate) from Wilson. Later in the year, 1929 TP Banerjee joined another adjacent tea estate (Windsor Tea estate) with the Wilson estate and combinedly named it this Tea Estate. From the year 2008, Mr. Sanjay Bansal owns this Tea Estate.

    This Tea Estate is situated on a downhill road. Visitors can see the beautiful tea gardens on the slopes of the hill. Inside the garden, there is a tea production factory; the tea production factory is a white-colored building with a red tinned roof. The tea bushes in this Tea Estate are aged more than a hundred years. The employees of the tea garden act as the guide for the visitors. They will offer the visitors to take inside and show the different stages of the tea processing in the factory. The view of the tea garden is truly magnificent. There is a shop where visitors can taste a cup of tea in that amazing atmosphere.

And from the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, the Happy Valley Tea Estate is 74.7 km away. It will take approximately 2 hours 44 minutes from the station to reach the destination.

    By airport: The Bagdogra Airport is 71.5 km away from the Happy Valley Tea Estate, it will take around 2 hours 38 minutes to reach the destination.
