    History

    It is said that the temple was built by the king , named Raghava Roy (1632-1665 Ad). It is said that Jaleswar shiv lingam is the tallest on earth. Once upon a time, the Shiva linga was called the ‘Rani’s Shiva. ‘There is another story of this Temple is that during the heavy drought, the villagers poured water on the shiva lingam. Since then, the name ‘Jaleswar ‘.
