    Jhansi Smart City is an ambitious initiative taken by the government of Uttar Pradesh, India. They wanted to make Jhansi a modern and sustainable urban center. The goal of Jhansi Smart City is to improve economic stability, sustainability, and the security of its residents. The authority made a plan based on the improvements of the city. They throw light on technology adoption, economic growth, and citizen engagement. 

    It is said that, in 1613 AD, Raja Bir Singh Deo discovered Jhansi as Balwant Nagar. From ancient times, Jhansi faced so many battles and gradually it became the Smart City of North India.

    According to the Swachh Survekshan 2018 rankings, Jhansi won the crown of being the cleanest city in Uttar Pradesh and also the ‘Fastest moving city’ in the North area.     Jhansi has a long, remarkable history. It is a renowned place from the ancient times. It is very popular for the Rani Laxmi bai, who bravely fought against the British in 1857. It is the capital of North India among all princely states. The Government of India selected Jhansi for the Smart City initiative amongst 98 other cities on October 28, 2011.     By Train: Jhansi Railway Station is the nearest station to Jhansi Smart City. Most major cities in the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Agra, Bhopal, Gwalior, etc. are well-connected to Jhansi by rail. You can easily get any local transports such as taxis or buses from the railway station.
