    Attraction

The Jhargram Raj Palace is the current residence of the ‘Malla Deb Royal family,’ serving as a royal heritage hotel. You can find that it has a unique structure combining the Gothic and the Muslim architectural modes at a time. About 15 of the rooms on the ground floor have been successfully converted into a Heritage Hotel. The Jhargram Raj Palace is an opulent Gothic structure reconstructed in 1931. However, you can come here and spend your weekend to get a royal vibe. Firstly, the name of the palace or the brand advertising of a royal estate is completely pretentious, and it might feel like time travel as well. Secondly, the food service is quite good. And, the quality is also good.  Thirdly, you can visit this place with your family and friends while spending your weekend.

    Jhargram Palace Heritage

    History

Jhargram Raj was founded around 1592 AD by ‘Sarveshwar Singh’ who, along with his brother, were generals under ‘Raja Man Singh I‘ of Amer and, eventually, came to conquer Bengal when Emperor Bihar and Orissa to Raja Man Singh. The then rulers of Jhargram assumed the title ‘Malla Deb’. The Raja (King) of the state was popularly known as ‘Ugal’ sanda by the local natives. More importantly, the appellation was continued by all kings up to ‘Raja Narasingha Malla Ugal Sanda Deb.’ However, the palace was reconstituted in 1931. The proprietors have developed a hotel and other tourism infrastructures in and around the palace, which is boosting tourism in West Bengal.

    Inside/Outside Views

The Main Building is really impressive. The Jhargram Raj Palace is an opulent Italianate structure set in carefully laid lawns as well as gardens. The Palace was restructured in 1931 (by the Calcutta Improvement Trust during the reign of Raja Narasingha Malla Deb Bahadur). On the Palace campus, the regal lifestyle and the past become lively. The proprietors have developed a hotel and other tourism infrastructures in and around the Palace.
Rebuilt in the early twentieth century, the Palace stands as a vigilant testament to the grandeur as well as architectural splendor of the long bygone era.
