    This Mosque, the first Mughal monument in India was built by Babur to commemorate the victory over Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi in the First Battle of Panipat in 1526 AD.

This mosque is situated inside an enclosure having octagonal towers on its corners.  its entrance on the north and The gateway, built of bricks with red sandstone, consists of a lintel bracket type opening encased in a huge arch, the spandrels of which are decorated with arched recesses encased in rectangular panels. The main prayer hall, square in shape, has annexes on the sides and its high façade is divided into panels plastered with lime Each of the annexes has nine bays that are crowned with hemispherical domes resting on low drums. Humayun, after defeating Salim Shah, added a masonry platform known as Chabutra-i-Fateh Mubarak and also It bears an inscription dated 1527 AD that records the name of the king and other details about its builders.
