In December 2021,  To start the airport soon with an aim to facilitate operations at the airport under the UDAN regional connectivity scheme, a group of 6 Persons from the Airport Authority of India conducted a Survey.

    By Rail: As trains don’t reach Kailashahar, Kumarghat is the nearest railway station. Kumarghat is 27 kilometers away from Kailashahar and it takes about 50 minutes by road. Some trains pass Kumarghat which connects one to the rest of the country. You can take taxis or cabs to reach your desired place.

    By Road: Kailashahar is connected to the rest of the country through National Highway 44. It is directly connected to the capital, Agartala. Many means of transpiration can be used to reach Kailashahar. Some of the common ways of traveling are State transport buses and private taxis.
