Kainchi Dham was established by a great saint named ‘Shri Neem Karoli Baba’ in the decade of 1960s at Kainchi village. The village is on Nainital-Almora Road, Uttarakhand. It’s indeed a holy temple along with an ashram surrounded by majestic hills, green trees, and a beautiful river flowing beside it.
Neeb Karori Baba, who is more popularly known as Neem Karoli Baba, is revered by thousands of devotees who throng from various parts of the country. The weekly Tuesday visits are considered more sacred. Various rules are strictly enforced for example individuals staying at the ashram are required to participate in morning and evening Arati.
‘Love Everyone, Serve Everyone, Feed Everyone, Remember God’ is the motto followed in this ashram. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or not, married or not, sophisticated or not; it only matters how much you love God. This world is all about attachment and the ashram tries to ease the desperate feeling of attachment. In order to see God, with a stoic mind you have to kill your desires.
