    This Kali temple is in the Sevoke area and is also called Sevokeshwari Kali temple. One has to climb several stairs to reach there. Sevokeswari Kali Mandir Co, mainly known as Sevoke Kali Mandir, is a sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Kali located 26 km from Siliguri on the way to Kalimpong. The Coronation Bridge, also known as Sevoke Bridge, is a famous landmark in the region that spans the Teesta River. Sevoke Kali Mandir, built in 1730, is a sacred Siliguri temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. It is also known as Sevokeswari Kali Temple. The temple is situated on a hill and can be reached by climbing 107 steps that pass through the mountain.

    History


    It was built in 1936 by the Maharaja of Patiala. The Maharaja was inspired to create the temple and bring six-foot-tall Maa Kali and Pawan Jyot idols from Bengal to Patiala. If you are looking for the temple, it is located opposite Baradari Udyan today. Many people consider Sri Kali Devi as their family goddess.
