Perched on a sloping slope, the park offers an amazing view of the surrounding countryside. The park, known as “Kottakkunnu,” or “the Mount with the Fort,” is renowned for both its historical significance and peaceful atmosphere. Remnants of the ancient fortification, which was built by the Zamorin monarchs of Kozhikode, may still be seen on the hills. The citadel is thought to be among the first structures constructed by the Zamorin dynasty.
