Lal Darwaza Masjid is one of the eminent mosques of India located on the Begamganj chungi, Malhani road of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh of India. In 1447 Queen Rayji Bibi built this mosque and dedicated it to a celebrated saint of Jaunpur namely, Sayyid Ali Dawood Kutubuddin. Her descendants are still alive in the Mohalla Bazaar but Pandariba Jaunpur and Mohalla Namaz Gah laldarwaza.
The Lal Darwaza Masjid got its name after the vermilion-painted lofty gateway of the queen’s royal palace. It is situated in the exact north west and known as Mohalla Laldarwaza or Begamganj.
Now, it is one of the tourist attractions in Jaunpur.
